Don't judge this theater by its outside appearance

The outside of the building/marquee is outdated and less than inviting but once you step inside its bright, pleasantly inviting. Because we were going to the matinee we purchased our tickets at the refreshment stand and selected our reserved seats from the computer screen. Theater 1 has stadium seating and these fabulous leather recliners and swing away tray tables. Even with the legs fully reclined there is plenty of room for others in the aisle to come and go.
The worst part was the room temperature! It was FREEZING!! We were wearing long pants, socks, and brought jackets AND I happened to have gloves in my backpack thank goodness because I needed them. Even with all that it was still teeth chattering cold.

Great theater!

After reading the reviews I had very low expectations.... but was pleasantly surprised. While, they are still doing some renovating, it's not an issue. The theater was clean, the people were friendly, concession stocked with goodies and most importantly the seats are amazing! I love the assigned seating and selecting the seats online prior to attending- especially because we had 4 people and were seeing a new release.
This cinema will only get better as time goes on- give it a chance!

Awesome theatre

Had a great time at this theatre. The seats were amazing and the popcorn was great. Absolutely the best movie theater in town. Won't go anywhere else!!

Aweful!

Website reads "luxury leather electric recliners with tables and reserved seating in all auditoriums!" Our auditorium had 1/2 recliners half old cloth seats; same price. It had been storming that day and the ceiling was leaking. We had paid for reserved seats but had to move due to water dripping on us. We were told they weren't making any more popcorn until it was gone but they assured us it was fresh. It was definitely not fresh. Very stale. Worst movie experience ever.

Horrible Theater

The only good thing I could say about this theater was the reclining seats were nice. However, I can't believe they would update the seats and absolutely nothing else. The carpet is horrible and the smell is overwhelming. The outside of the theater looked like it was abandoned years ago. I can't believe they couldn't at least replace the sign. You can't read anything. Definitely a rundown theater from the 80's that no one has cared about and just decided to try to get business by adding recliner seats. The website says this is a VIP theater which is absolutely ridiculous. The other theater in town is not much better. I can't believe Hot Springs can't get a nice theater with the amount of people here and their super high tax rate.

Pleasantly Surprised!

The theater building doesn't look like much on the outside, but I was really surprised by the place after reading the reviews. The staff was amazing and super nice, they serve wine and beer, and will deliver your food to your seats. It was nice to be able to pick your seats and see where others were sitting before going in, but the best part was the seats! They were recliners with foot rests with a little tray to put your food on. It felt like I was in a recliner at home watching a movie! I'm already thinking about which movie I want to see before we leave town so we can go back!

Pleasantly Surprised!

After reading these reviews and the reviews on Google, I was afraid to go to either movie theatre in Hotsprings. However, a local had told us this theatre had just updated their seating, so we decided to try it out and hope for the best. The prices are crazy high (42.00 for matinee for 4 people), but I guess they have to pay for the new seating. :)

The concessions were same as everywhere else price wise. They sold beer and wine. The restrooms were fairly clean- they could work on that next. The building was old and run down. The employees were friendly. Bonus: there is reserve seating so you know you will have a place to sit if you are running late.

Tip: do not set in the back two rows on the 4 seat side bc the light from the back door is distracting.

We will go again one day.

First time in long time

This old theater has been around for a long time. While the leather recliner is very comfortable, they still need more improvement. Seating is not well marked and has no safety lights to guide you in the dark. For the price, you still need to get things done.

New Reclining Seats

We went to the show after Christmas day. This theater is old but had done renovations, including new reclining leather seats. Very Comfy. Concessions are a little pricey, but so are the big multiplexes. The movie was good, and we will return.

Awful Movie Screen Quality

We chose this theater assuming that if they had leather recliner seating, the screen quality and sound would be in check. Not so much! Unfortunately, we have to see the new Star Wars movie again at a different theater due to the absolutely worst viewing experience ever. And at $10.50 per ticket!! Also, 3 sodas and a medium popcorn over $30!! Save your money. Star Wars would have been better on my own TV at home.
